Titanic (in 3D)

Titanic-3D-Movie-Ship

Following the success of Avatar, James Cameron became the poster child for modern 3D in Hollywood – setting the gold standard for how filmmakers could approach the format artistically (i.e., subtle depth as opposed to gimmicky pop-out effects). As a result, more and more directors are coming around to the 3D format, and delivering their own enjoyable implementations of the effect (such as in Martin Scorsese’s Hugo).

However, while Cameron may have opened the eyes of directors and producers – not just money hungry studios – to the benefits of shooting in 3D, many moviegoers are still skeptical of films that are presented with post-converted 3D. Non-native 3D offerings are a mixed bag with unnecessary (My Soul to Take) or flat-out ugly (Clash of the Titans) conversions, not to mention underwhelming applications of the format to re-releases (Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace). Can Cameron once again set the bar – this time for post-conversion – with Titanic 3D?

Given that his charges include illegal access to a PC and wiretapping, Christopher Chaney faces up to sixty(!) years in jail. Press reports reveal that he has been arrested last October in frames of a year-long investigation of celebrity hacking that the police called “Operation Hackerazzi”. The authorities claimed Christopher hacked into the email accounts of over fifty people in the entertainment industry, including Scarlett Johansson and Christina Aguilera. Scarlett Johansson’s nude pictures were later posted online. Christina Aguilera also had some private pictures put on the Internet.

For the first time, US iPhone users will have a choice of three carriers with which to choose from. Obviously, the number one concern is if the carrier has good service in the area. There are some differentiators however:

Sprint offers an unlimited Data Plan (Through October).
AT&T’s GSM network will allow faster 14.4 Mbps (theoretical) data speeds and talk and simultaneous data and more international roaming options.
Verizon and AT&T have free hotspots on their 4GB and up plans while Sprint’s is $30/month.

Hacker Group Switched to UFO Hoaxing

Worldwide known hacker group Anonymous decided to switch its efforts at hacking off UFO enthusiasts instead of annoying the powerful industry.
ufo
Anonymous members have agreed on the date they will start action: on May 22, numerous UFO websites will be flooded with fake reports of a triangular unidentified flying object. The operation was naturally
codenamed “Operation UFO”, and is intended to provide the members of Anonymous group with long hours of entertainment after the story is caught up with the mainstream media. The hackers hope that the story will receive enough attention and become "reality".

Anonymous expect that on May, 23rd, the newspapers will shout about the UFO postings. Moreover, Ghost theory has even opened a book on whether this story will be linked with terrorism, or with the fact that the birth certificate of the US president was signed by ET.

The members of the Anonymous agreed to tell the same story about how they’ve seen "a triangle of about 8 yellow lights in the sky". While the majority of hackers will report the event on specialized websites, the boldest ones are even going to call hotlines. The intent is to create the sudden influx of similar reports, which in its turn will convince UFO enthusiasts that something really is out there. In other words, many people should believe that aliens really want to make contact on Sundays.

Google Focusing on Online Video Future

OggTheora-200x133As you should remember, Goggle has purchased On2, the video codec company, not so long ago. This made many open source proponents hope that Google is going to release On2’s technology to the public as patent-free and open source. That was determined by the fact that On2 had earlier donated the code from another codec to Ogg Theora, which is a video open source project, and possibly could do that again.
Another thing is that On2 purchase was made exactly in time of the discussion of switching from Flash to HTML5 in the web. There are many proponents of free online standards which would be happy to see web video being delivered via the simple <video> element in HTML5. As Google owns YouTube, everything it does regarding video is going important to the public, and such a move could make video distribution online absolutely free, as opposed to Adobe’s Flash, for example. There is an alternative presented by H.264, which is now becoming an open source standard, but it won’t be free forever, because MPEG-LA promised to keep it royalty free only till 2015.

How To Write A Song Lyrics

Have you ever wanted to write a song? And maybe have it recorded by a famous singer? Maybe it could even hit the "top ten" chart?
While this actually happens to some lyricists and songwriters, the chances are slim for a person to reach that height of success. But, what the heck! If you have an idea for a song, you might as well write it down and organize it into a song. Even if it never enters the front door of a recording studio, you will still have the bragging rights to your family and friends that you are a lyricist!

There is no set way to write the lyrics to a song, but there are a few basics that you will need to know in order to reach your goal. In this article, you will learn about organizing your own personal thoughts and turning them into song lyrics.
The first step is to write down who your audience is. You will need to keep this in mind while writing the lyrics so you can target them. After all, if you were writing a song for children you would certainly avoid adult material of any kind.
Next, write down the subject of the song, the idea or the message you want to convey, and the story the song will tell. The subject of the song might be falling in love; the message might be that there is someone for everyone; the story might tell of a man and a woman who meet and fall madly in love with each other.
This is a good time to write down the words to the chorus of the song. The chorus is a bridge or connection from one verse to the next. It must make sense to sing the words of the chorus in between the verses. From the chorus, you will also need to make-up a catchy title for your song.
The next step is to write a rough draft of the first verse of your song. This verse should draw attention to your song and make your audience want to listen. Don't worry about it being perfect at this point; you will refine all the verses and the chorus later.
Now, of course, you will need to write the second verse. In this part you will need to continue to tell the story and explain what the action is. Don't be too detailed; this is a three minute song, not an opera.
Next comes the third verse. Tell more about your story here, and add relevant information to your story. You really want to enhance the story line from verses one and two, because the next verse will close the song.
It's time to close the song by writing the fourth verse and bring it all together like the last chapter of a book.
Finally, read over your lyrics and change your sentences into lines. After you have lines, you will need to go back and change the ending words so they will rhyme. Do this with the chorus too. Every lyric should be of relatively-equal length so the song will glide along and not be choppy.
After you have completed writing your song, you may decide to write the music for it too. Or, if composing is not your thing, you could work with someone who does compose and complete your song!
